Two vehicle crash lands victim in hospital

A Kalkie man has been fined for alleged careless driving after a 25-year-old was taken to hospital with chest and hand injuries.

A 25-year-old man was taken to hospital on Wednesday following a two-car crash on Walker Street around 9:10am.

Initial investigations from Bundaberg police have revealed a Ford utility allegedly struck the rear of a Toyota station wagon.

Queensland Ambulance Service attended the scene and the man was taken to the Bundaberg Hospital with suspected chest and hand injuries.

Bundaberg police and traffic control officers also attended the scene.

The driver, a Kalkie man, was issued with a traffic infringement notice for careless driving and not paying due care and attention to the road.

Investigations are continuing.
