THE Burnett Has-Beans team, which took part in the Cancer Council Queensland Maryborough Relay for Life last weekend, were thrilled to be awarded a trophy for the best-dressed team in the relay.

Cancer survivor and veteran team leader Ray Hutchinson said 40mm of rain before the event had made the Maryborough Showgrounds a tough venue.

“The walkers had a hard time completing the relay, walking through ankle-deep mud all night,” he said.

Mr Hutchinson said the team had raised $3450 for the event.

“I am very grateful for everyone’s support, and can’t thank the public enough for their generosity,” he said.
