Tributes pour in for beloved young father as family makes funeral request
Tributes have poured in for a 34-year-old father after his unexpected passing, with former teammates remembering his ability to make everyone laugh.
A regional community is in mourning after the tragic death of a young father-of-two last month.
Samuel Stephen ‘Sam’ Morgan, 34, sadly died on November 17, 2025, leaving behind his wife Daphne and two daughters Millicent, nine, and Aurora, five.
Touching tributes in dedication of Sam have flooded social media, honouring him for his time spent at a local rugby league club.
The Western Suburbs Senior Rugby League Club shared Sam’s funeral notice and a touching tribute to their former player.
“Condolences to the Morgan family, sorry to hear about the passing of Sam, he will be missed by all,” the post read.
Jenny Bundy Bear said she knew him from football.
“So incredibly sorry to hear this news,” commented Emily Moller.
“Sam was such a nice person to train with during my time at Wests Rugby League.
“Thinking of the family.”
Sonia Maree McCarthy commented “may Sam’s memory live on in our hearts,” and Katrina Bacon sent her thoughts and prayers to the family.
“My heart goes out to the Morgan family,” said Richard Brown.
An ex-classmate of Sam’s, Krystle Free, said she remembered Sam’s ability to make people laugh constantly at school.
“Condolences to the family, especially your wife and beautiful girls,” she said.
“Rest easy Sam. You will be missed mate.”
Relatives and friends of Sam and his family are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service on Friday December 5, 2025 at 10am.
It will be held in The Chapel, Branyan Gardens.
