Totally new: Plans to turn former Chipmunks site into hardware store revealed

A new hardware business could be opening on Johanna Blvd if given the green light by Bundaberg Regional Council.

A material change of use for hardware and trade supplies development application has been lodged with the council for the former Chipmunks Playland and Cafe Bundaberg site, with STMC Enterprises Pty Ltd listed as the owner and applicant.

The proposal documents indicate plans to open Total Tools at the 59 Johanna Bvd, Kensington site.

“Development is proposed to occur generally in accordance with the Total Tools Bundaberg dated 31/03/2021 drafted by Red Design Group,” the document reads.

“The proposed development would occur within the existing development footprint on a site that is already connected to all reticulated services and developed for commercial and industrial uses.”

The proposed operating hours are 7.30am–5pm Monday to Friday and 8am–noon on Saturdays.

The application is pending a decision from the council.
