Teen taken to hospital after being stung

CAREFLIGHT crews were tasked to Fraser Island on Friday to treat and transport a patient who had reportedly been stung by marine stingers.
A 16-year-old Sunshine Coast girl, who was also holidaying near Orchid Beach, was airlifted to Bundaberg Hospital by the Bundaberg-based rescue helicopter.
She travelled in a stable condition.
The species of marine stinger is unknown.
