QAFL
Aspley, Daniel Webster: Mac Lonergan, he keeps the energy up at all times.
Broadbeach, Craig O’Brien: Lucas Jellyman-Turner
Labrador, Clint Watts: Matt Lee, a captain who leads by example and is always talking out on the field.
Maroochydore, Ben Jones: Brent Pearson, has been around a long time and is great at sharing his experience and communicating among the back six especially.
Morningside, Paul Egan: Darcy Cameron-Reeves
Mt Gravatt, Tony Lynn: Teejay Halkias, his energy and enthusiasm is through the roof and provides good direction on the field.
Noosa, Chris Rourke: Tom Monahan
Palm Beach Currumbin, Jess Sinclair: Marcus White, has been playing halfback and was in an AFL system for a couple of years. Organisers a lot of the play down there as a bit of a field general.
Redland Victoria Point, Phil Carse: Our two captains Mitch Stallard and Scott Miller.
Sherwood, Jarad Marsh: Riley Easton
Surfers Paradise, Matt Lappin: Tom Smith, he’s our loudest for sure. Everyone in the crowd can hear him and sometimes it’s positive but sometimes he’s challenging his teammates which is okay as long as it‘s accepted the right way.
Wilston Grange, Brent Moloney: Kailem Baker, one of Gorillas co-captains who is always chatting, leading by example which makes him a solid on-field coach.
QAFLW
Aspley Hornets, Luke Glacken: Lucy Thompson. Sets the backline up nicely.
Yeronga, Lisa Milne: Camilla Burnett. On the field especially.
University of QLD, Ross Clayfield: Maddy Crowly-Long and Lucy Hicks
Coorparoo Kings, Rebecca Randazzo: Sally Young. She’s the captain for a reason and reads the game well.
Maroochydore Roos, Dave Hume: Grace Perry. She isn’t afraid to speak her mind and is the energiser of the team.
Next week’s coaches nominate will highlight the biggest hitters from each team in the QAFL and QAFLW leagues.
Keep an eye out, you won’t want to miss it!
