Showbags, dagwood dogs, rides, pavilion works, fireworks and a rodeo are all just days away with the 2021 Bundaberg Show set to swing into action on Wednesday.

After COVID-19 cancelled any show plans in 2020, there are plenty of people in Bundaberg eager to get their show fix.

While times may be subject to change, the current program for the show has gates opening at 8am on Wednesday, with the main pavilion, poultry pavilion, horse events in the main arena and side show alley opening at 9am.

The larger rides will be operational from 4pm.

The public bar opens at 10am, while the main arena, radio control car display and mock medieval battle will begin at 6.30pm.

Then Bundaberg Today fireworks will light up the sky at 8pm with musical entertainment and sideshows on until late.

The Municipal Band, Kalkie School Band, South Kolan School Band are on the program for a performance at 11am.

Then at 4pm there will be a medieval battle and fencing display on their site.

At 6pm there’s expected to be a remote control car display and mock medieval tournament in the main arena, and the Formatt Machinery Young Farmers Challenge at 6.45pm and fireworks at 8pm.

Gates again open at 8am on Friday, with team penning from 9am before the rodeo kicks off at 5pm in the undercover arena.

There’s also plenty of rides to enjoy, pavilions to explore and medieval tournaments to watch throughout the day.

Once the rodeo is done and dusted, Mark Lavender takes the stage with the rodeo bar open until 11.59pm.
