Woman airlifted with ‘significant’ arm and leg injuries after crash at Takilberan

A woman has been flown to hospital with significant injuries after a crash on the Bruce Highway in the Bundaberg region.

A woman was airlifted to hospital on Sunday after a two-vehicle crash on the Bruce Highway at Takilberan.

The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked to the scene at 4.20pm on Sunday and landed in a nearby truck parking bay.

The LifeFlight critical care doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service flight paramedic worked alongside paramedics at the scene to treat a stable female in her 20s for significant leg and arm injuries.

She was flown to Bundaberg Hospital for further treatment.

Four stable patients from the second vehicle, including two adults and two children, were transported by road to Bundaberg Hospital.
