Woman injured at Bourbong St takeaway

Police are investigating after a woman was stabbed at a 24-hour takeaway store in a regional Queensland CBD.

Emergency services rushed to a popular takeaway shop in the heart of Bundaberg, after reports of an argument turned violent.

A spokesman for the Queensland Police Service said an argument broke out between two people at 24-hour takeaway restaurant, Hungry Tums, on Bourbong St, Tuesday evening.

One of the women was reportedly struck in the neck with a weapon and was treated at the scene by paramedics for minor injuries to her head and neck.

Police arrived at the scene and recovered CCTV footage of the incident.

A spokeswoman for QAS said the woman received minor injuries and declined being taken to hospital.

Investigations are continuing.
