Theft, hooning: Bundaberg police call for assistance

Bundaberg police have called for community eyes and ears the help them after several thefts and a brazen burnout in the city centre.
They are trying to identify the driver of a ute that was allegedly seen hooning and driving dangerously around Bundaberg South.
At about 11.44pm on Friday, June 16, a white Holden ute allegedly performed a large burnout after driving through a red light at the intersection of Walker and Barolin Streets.
It is alleged other road users were forced to wait at green lights for the ute to leave the intersection.
The burnout resulted in a large amount of smoke at the area, police said.
In separate incidents, a tinny/dinghy was stolen from the Burnett River in late January.
Between 6pm on January 28 and 6am on January 29 the boat was taken from the Lions Park boat ramp, close to the Burnett Bridge.
The boat contained various fishing items and was secured with a chain at the time.

Anyone with information on the boat registered under AE808Q is encouraged to come forward.

In a separate incident a Princess Street business was targeted after a diesel fuel tank was stolen.
The East Bundaberg business was unlawfully entered between midnight June 16 and midnight June 17.
After breaking into the building, a yellow UHI DKY48A 450L diesel fuel tank with 12-volt pump was stolen from the top of a shipping container.
