A man is pleading for public support after being swept up in a police raid that uncovered 90kg of cannabis.
Scott Brockman claims he had no involvement in the alleged drug operation near Bundaberg, and is desperately raising money through GoFundMe for a lawyer to clear his name.
Mr Brockman appeared in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on November 25 on a raft of serious charges.
Among them are allegations of possessing dangerous drugs in significant quantities, possessing items used in the commission of a crime, and possessing utensils or pipes associated with drug use.
He is also charged with possessing property linked to a drug offence and the unlawful possession of hazardous substances.
In his GoFundMe appeal, he denies any connection to the drugs found.
His online plea provides a glimpse into the personal turmoil he says he has faced throughout his life.
“I suffer from PTSD, anxiety, and depression,” Brockman wrote.
He called on the generosity of strangers, saying, “I ask you please find it in your big heart to help me”.
As of Tuesday, Mr Brockman has not received any donations towards his $1,800 fundraising goal.
