Police lay charges after Kepnock man stabbed at Bargara home

A Bundaberg teenager has fronted court after allegedly repeatedly stabbing another 18-year-old in a backyard shed.

An 18-year-old woman has fronted court after allegedly carrying out a violent knife attack at a Bargara home on Monday night.

Police allege Emily Anna Rose Cassar entered the rear shed of the property about 7.45pm and repeatedly stabbed an 18-year-old Kepnock man before fleeing.

The victim suffered “deep stab wounds” to his back, hands and fingers and was flown to Royal Brisbane Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The alleged offender, arrested on Monday night, was charged with one count of unlawful wounding.

She briefly appeared in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Tuesday and was allowed bail.

She is due to appear for mention again on December 9.

The teens were known to each other.
