A hooning incident following heavy rain has damaged a car park and grassland near a Bundaberg boat ramp, with police calling for assistance in identifying the alleged offenders.

A spate of hooning offences near a Burnett River boat ramp has sparked a police search for the drivers responsible.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said numerous 4WD vehicles were seen driving dangerously near the car park for the Sandy Hook boat ramp on the weekend of January 6-7, 2024 in the Bundaberg suburb of Branyan.

With the alleged hooning activity occurring after heavy rain, the spokesperson said the vehicles damaged the grassland near the car park as well as the car park itself.
Police are calling for any members of the public who could assist in identifying the vehicles and drivers involved to come forward.
