Two cars were stolen within two hours in Bundaberg on Monday morning, with the region experiencing its worst start to the year on record for car thefts.
A Bundaberg police spokesperson said two vehicles were stolen during the early hours of Monday, February 19.

A white 2010 Kia Cerato sedan with registration plate 045HZ6 was taken from Ragusa Way in Ashfield, a quiet cul-de-sac in east Bundaberg, about midnight.
Two hours later, about 2am, a red 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee station wagon with registration plate 462WMW was stolen from Fraser Ave in the coastal suburb of Innes Park.
Police are calling for anyone with information on these incidents to contact police via www.police.qld.gov.au/reporting or call 131 444.

The thefts were the most recent of 17 car thefts in Bundaberg in February, already exceeding the total of 15 car thefts which occurred in February 2023.
Bundaberg experienced 40 car thefts in January, the highest number on record for the region.
