Police arrest Norville man wanted on rape, violence at Coonarr Beach
A major police operation involving multiple property searches and the dog squad has resulted in the arrest of a Norville man wanted on charges of rape, deprivation of liberty, domestic violence and drugs. Watch the video:

A high priority police target was arrested and charged after being found hiding out in bushland near Bundaberg on Sunday.
A police statement on Operation Whiskey Legion released on Tuesday said police searched multiple properties on Sunday, August 4, before finding the 39-year-old Norville man hiding out in bushland at Coonarr Beach.
Assisted by specialist police and the dog squad, the man was found and arrested without incident.
He was charged with three counts of possessing dangerous drugs, one count of evading police and five domestic violence offences including rape and deprivation of liberty.
He was later also charged with four counts of possessing dangerous drugs and one count each of evading police at night, wilful damage, stealing and failing to take reasonable care and precautions when disposing of a syringe or needle.
He was refused bail and faced Bundaberg Magistrates Court on August 6.
Specialist police also executed a search warrant on a Booyal property on August 2, where they allegedly found quantities of drugs, a hydroponic set up, several insecure firearms and ammunition, and child exploitation material.
A 43-year-old Booyal man was charged with two counts of possessing dangerous drugs and one count each of producing dangerous drugs, possessing utensils or pipes etc used in conjunction with dangerous drugs, the unlawful possession of weapons, failing to store a weapon securely, failing to correctly store explosives, using the internet to procure children under 16, distributing child exploitation material, and possessing child exploitation material.
He is due to appear in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court on August 23.
