Police, ambulance tend to crash in Walkervale, Bundaberg

A car and truck collided in a busy Bundaberg suburb, resulting in two people being taken to hospital.

The crash at the corner of Hunter and Walker Sts

Police redirected traffic for more than an hour following a serious crash in a busy Bundaberg suburb.

At 6.40am, emergency services were called to the intersection of Walker and Hunter Sts following reports of a car and truck colliding.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said officers were on scene until just before 8am.

Two patients were taken to Bundaberg Hospital, including a female patient for observation, a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said.

The patients were in a stable condition.

Tow trucks were brought in to remove the vehicles as police and other workers swept a large amount of broken glass from Walker St.

Busy early morning traffic had to be redirected through smaller streets in Walkervale as the scene was cleared.

Traffic is now flowing.
