Three people have been treated by paramedics after a fire started in a bedroom of their home at Bundaberg.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services raced to the property on Sunset Dr, Thabeban, shortly after 2pm following reports of the house fire.
A QFD spokeswoman said two crews arrived at the scene and put out two small fires, believed to be started after one of the occupants of the house suffered a mental health episode.
Paramedics treated three people, a man in his 70s, a woman in her 50s, and a woman in her 20s, at the scene.
Two patients have been taken to Bundaberg hospital in a stable condition for treatment for smoke inhalation.
Investigations are ongoing.
