A Bundaberg region farm has been wound up in the Supreme Court of Queensland following the appointment of administrators earlier in the year.

According to court documents, the action came about due to insolvency, meaning the company, Panichelli Farms Pty Ltd, could not repay its debts.

The North Gregory grower of produce, including snow peas, owed a total of $23,582.22 to Nutrien Ag Solutions Limited, which was ordered by a court to be on February 22.

The court also requested Panichelli Farms Pty Ltd pay $7065.57 in interest and $1715.61 in costs.

However, by April, an application to wind up was lodged.

On May 26, a new court order was made that Panichelli Farms Pty Ltd be wound up due to insolvency, and liquidators be appointed.

It was ordered that “the applicant's costs of and incidental to this application and the statutory demand be costs in the winding up”.
