A man has been ordered to destroy explicit images of a woman after he used them against her.
Monty Charles Chapman-Dynevor, 20, pleaded guilty and was convicted in the Bundaberg District Court on Monday of distributing intimate images, and threatening to distribute an intimate image.
Chapman-Dynevor appeared via videolink from the Bundaberg Watchhouse.
The court heard he had contacted the woman at the weekend and threatened to send naked photos of her to other people. The photos were obtained during a previous sexual encounter.
Chapman-Dynevor sent her one of the images as proof his threat could be carried out, it heard.
The court heard there was some debate over whether the naked images were actually published or distributed to other people.
Magistrate John McInnes condemned Chapman-Dynevor’s actions and made note of his offending whilst on probation.
Chapman-Dynevor was placed on 12 months probation and ordered to delete the images within one month or his probation would be cancelled and he would instead be jailed for two years.
Convictions were recorded.
