Police are investigating a crash that killed a 55-year-old man in Dalysford on Wednesday.

About 12pm, a silver Toyota was travelling west on Gin Gin – Mount Perry Road when it left the road and collided with a culvert.

The driver and sole occupant, a 55-year-old New Moonta man, was declared dead at the scene.

He had been trapped in the vehicle, with emergency service crews fighting to free him from the damaged four-wheel drive.

On Thursday, police said Forensic Crash Unit investigations were ongoing.

Any witnesses, or anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam vision is urged to contact police.
