Man fined after police find him with ice and uncapped syringe near train station
While patrolling near a train station an ‘erratic’ man caught the eye of officers. What they found in his backpack landed him in court.

A man has walked away from court with a fine after being found with drugs and an uncapped syringe.
Thomas Jeffery Patch pleaded guilty in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Monday to possessing dangerous drugs and failing to properly dispose a needle or syringe.
The court heard police were doing patrols in Sunnybank in February where they saw Patch “acting strange” and pacing outside an elevator near a train station.
When officers approached him his behaviour was “erratic”.
Patch was searched and police discovered 1g of ice with several syringes in his backpack.
One of them was uncapped.
Patch also pleaded guilty to one count of breaching bail after he failed to report.
He received one fine of $300 for all offences and a conviction was recorded.
