A Bundaberg farm contractor turned stay-at-home-dad has once again found himself before court for driving offences.
David Lawrence Eather faced Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Thursday, where he pleaded guilty to a single count of drug driving.
On April 14, 2022, Eather had been driving along Bundaberg’s busy Quay St when he was stopped by police for a random check.
A test revealed Eather, a P-plater, had meth in his system.
The court heard that Eather had been before the courts previously for a similar offence.
“You do previously have one offence of a like nature on your criminal record,” Magistrate Edwina Rowan said.
An early plea of guilty was taken into account during sentencing.
Eather was fined $350, referred to SPER, and disqualified from driving for three months.
A conviction was recorded.
