The court heard that Eather had been before the courts previously for a similar offence.

“You do previously have one offence of a like nature on your criminal record,” Magistrate Edwina Rowan said.

An early plea of guilty was taken into account during sentencing.

Eather was fined $350, referred to SPER, and disqualified from driving for three months.

A conviction was recorded.
