Bundaberg man lands hefty penalty for speeding in Hervey Bay
A young Bundaberg driver has been busted driving almost twice the speed limit on the main road through Hervey Bay.

A Bundaberg man has been busted travelling at 112km per hour in a 60km zone.
The 21-year-old was caught speeding in a white Holden Astra along Boat Harbour Drive, Pialba, on Friday evening.
Around 7.45pm Hervey Bay police saw the speeding vehicle.
The driver was fined $1286 and lost eight demerit points.
Police remind drivers to be mindful of the Fatal Five – speeding, drink and drug driving, lack of seatbelts, fatigue and driver distraction, as these factors can lead to accidents for not only themselves, but fellow motorists.
