A Bundaberg mum’s efforts to avoid police landed her behind bars.

Brooke Hayley Reid appeared in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Monday where she pleaded guilty to a number of offences including one count of failing to stop for police, as well as drug and traffic offences.

The court heard the most serious crime on the 30-year-old’s charge sheet happened after she pulled in to the United service station on November 7, 2023.

Reid tried to get away when she saw police were present, and in the process she crashed into a parked car, causing moderate damage, before crashing in to a petrol bowser and concrete bollard.

Reid was also facing court on Monday for an offence committed on June 17, 2022, where she was caught driving disqualified and was found to have drugs in her car.
