I MUST say I was pretty impressed to see Bundaberg builder Jesse Zielke offer a job to the young vandal who defaced his workplace and others on the weekend.
When I first saw Mr Zielke's offer on Facebook I thought it was some sort of trap to lure the young offender out so he could be handed over to police.
I was wrong.
The director of JRZ Homes wants the person to get in contact with him - in a move to address youth unemployment in Bundaberg.
"Would anyone know whose graffiti 'tag' this is in our jobs site in Millbank?" Mr Zielke posted. "We don't want to punish this person, we want to offer this person a PAID job using their graffiti skills (if they have any).
"We are offering them a blank canvas on one of our big jobs coming up."
Mr Zielke is worried about youth unemployment in the region and wants to show the person the value of hard work.
Let's hope the person does come forward so the builder can pass on his words of wisdom and maybe make a difference in someone's life.
