Man in his 70s crashes into embankment at Bundaberg Central
Emergency services have freed a man by cutting the roof off his car after it crashed and landed on its side at Bundaberg Central.

A man in his 70s had to be cut free from his car in a horror single vehicle accident in Bundaberg on Tuesday afternoon.
The man was driving along Barolin Street when he crashed his car into an embankment on the corner of Barolin and Short Streets at 11:23am.
Shoppers were alerted to the crash from the nearby Hinkler Shopping Centre, with a number of witnesses contacting emergency services, with one witness telling the NewsMail she heard a loud “bomb sound”.
QFES arrived on scene shortly after and had to cut the man free from the car, which had flipped onto its side.
Both the car roof and driver’s seat had to be removed to free the man safely.
Pieces of the vehicle were strewn across the area, including a headlight and front bumper landing metres from the car itself.
The man suffered head and neck injuries and was taken to Bundaberg Hospital by critical care paramedics.
He was in a stable condition on Tuesday afternoon.
