Man dies in Rubyanna boating crash
Water Police are investigating the incident on the Burnett River near Bundaberg late Tuesday morning, which left one man dead and another injured.

Police have released new information after an 85-year-old man was killed in a crash on the Burnett River at Rubyanna in Bundaberg on Tuesday.
The Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed the tragic news after the incident which was called in at 10.50am.
Multiple emergency services were called to the scene near the Bundaberg Sailing Club on Strathdees Rd.
In a statement, the Queensland Police Service said the dead man was from Windermere, while his injured counterpart, who was taken to hospital with cuts to his arms, was from Gooburrum.
“The driver of the boat, an 82-year-old Gooburrum man, sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital,” a police spokesperson said.
“Water police are investigating the circumstances of the incident, with assistance from Maritime Safety Queensland.
“Witnesses are urged to come forward, investigations are continuing.”
A passing boat was able to bring one of the men onto the river bank, and paramedics attempted CPR but the 85-year-old man could not be revived.
It is believe he suffered a cardiac arrest after the two were thrown into the water.
It is understood police are considering whether driver error was a factor in the incident.
No other vessels were believed to be involved.
