Harley ‘Trick’ Trindall fighting for his life in hospital, faces multiple charges in court

The lawyer for a man fighting for his life in a Brisbane hospital asked for his charges to be adjourned to give him time to recover.

Harley Trindall, the 35-year-old Kalkie man involved in a serious crash last Thursday faces a number of charges in Bundaberg Magistrates court.

The 35-year-old man involved in a serious accident last week is set to face Bundaberg Magistrates Court on several unrelated driving charges.

Harley ‘Trick’ Trindal, 35, of Kalkie, was flown to the Royal Brisbane Hospital after suffering life-threatening injuries in a horror crash on Thursday, March 13, 2025.

He underwent emergency surgery for bleeding on the brain, and it was touch-and-go as he remained in a coma and his loved ones hoped and prayed he would pull through.

One week on, defence lawyer Mr Gavin James represented the 35-year-old on seven charges.

Mr James told the court Mr Trindall had a number of driving-related charges, including two counts of driving without a licence disqualified by a court order, one evasion offence at night, two counts of using, or permitting the use of a vehicle for which a number plate attached or given/granted for another vehicle, two counts of vehicles used on roads must be registered.

A Metro North Health Service Spokesman said Mr Trindall remains in a stable condition.

Mr James asked the case be adjourned until the end of the month when a number of his other charges are listed for mention, and to allow Mr Trindall time to recover from his injuries.

The charges are not related to the 35-year-old’s recent crash and have been adjourned for mention to April 25.

On Thursday, March 20, 2025, a Metro North Health Service spokesman said Mr Trindall was in a stable condition.
