Emergency services rush to house fire Bundaberg

Residents of a north Bundaberg home have had a close call with a “sleep-out” attached the house catching fire.

Residents of a north Bundaberg home have had a close call with a “sleep-out” attached the house catching fire.

Emergency services were rushed to the scene shortly before 8.30am Monday.

A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said two crews arrived at the home to find residents had managed to extinguish it before any significant damage happened.

Crews are currently assessing the damage, police have not ruled it as suspicious.

A Queensland Ambulance Services spokeswoman said a man declined treatment and transport to hospital.
