The thrilling search for Bundaberg’s newest millionaire has ended four days after the Saturday Gold Lotto draw
The mystery winner, one of 14 division one winners across Australia, came forward to claim their $2.1m cash prize earlier this week.
The winning Bundaberg ticket was one of two in Queensland, drawn Saturday, January 4.
Across Australia, there were six division one winners in both Victoria and New South Wales.
The winning numbers in the Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4535 were 33, 19, 8, 23, 10, and 31, with the supplementary numbers being 42 and 13.
Each division one winning entry pocketed $2,142,857.15.
The winning entry was sold at Free Choice Bundaberg, in the Hinkler supermarket.
Cory Nicholson, owner of Free Choice Bundaberg (Hinkler Lucky Lotto) said he was thrilled his outlet had sold a division one winning entry.
“I am so pleased that we were able to be part of something that will change the lives of one of our customers,” he said.
“I’m sure the buzz will continue in the store this week. Our staff will have extra big smiles on and hopefully, we can sell another winning ticket soon.
“Our customers have been waiting for a division one win from our store. I have owned the outlet for nearly four years, and this is our first division one win.
“We really hope the win allows the customer to have the freedom to be able to do what makes them happy. Whether that be buying a house, helping family or friends, travelling or anything else.
“We really appreciate the support our customers provide by coming into store and supporting our small family business.
“Small business is difficult and without customers visiting our store we would not be able to employ local people and support local causes.
“Thank you all so much!”
