The search for the cutest baby in Bundaberg in 2024 resulted in more than 50 little ones being nominated for the title, but it was Azayla Law who captured hearts and won the poll with 22 per cent of the vote.
Azayla’s incredible birth story began exactly one year ago, when her mum, Tasma Davies, unexpectedly went into labour.
Ms Davies said that after 12 hours in labour with no progress, “Azayla made her grand entrance at 12:58am on November 21st via emergency C-section”.
From her first moments, Azayla’s personality was a standout, she said.
“She’s full of sass.
“She’ll ignore people who talk to her and stare down anyone not paying her attention until they do. Her expressions are endless, and she lights up every room she enters,” Ms Davies said.
Azayla’s love for Trolls has been a defining trait since she could see and hear the television, her mum said.
To celebrate her birthday, the family is throwing a Trolls-themed birthday party this weekend.
“She’s loved by so many, and this feels like the perfect way to honour her love for the colourful characters she’s been obsessed with,” Ms Davies said.
