Bundaberg small businesses to support

From photography to electrical services, pretty gifts and everything in between, Bundaberg locals are a clever bunch when it comes to skills. Check out our directory of local businesses that have kicked off in the past year and show them some love.

Keiarna's Cupcakes

Bundaberg locals are known to love setting up businesses of their own.

Whether it’s trades, services, gift hampers or decorative arrangements, there’s something for everyone.

One local lady who decided to start her own beautiful business is Kate Brignull.

Being a mum and loving all things beautiful, Ms Brignull’s love of flowers provided her with flexible working hours.

Her business, Little Cottage Blooms, is named in honour of the 100-year-old cottage she lives in.

“I just really fell in love with flowers and pressing flowers and stuff like that,” she said.

Little Cottage Blooms offers lovely gifts, with the stand-out item being stunning dried flower arrangements.

“I just love all things flowers, so I’m obsessed,” Ms Brignull said.

“I’ve done a few dried native flower arrangements.”

Ms Brignull receives plenty of custom orders and is even able to use some local suppliers in her arrangements.

With a young daughter on hand to help out, Ms Brignull has a clear picture of where her business is going.

She dreams of opening a bricks and mortar store and cafe once her daughter is old enough.

Ms Brignull hopes to stock her own candles and diffusers at the store.

“It’ll all come back to florals,” she said.

Another Bundaberg mum who started up her own flexible business is Skye Zielke from MillyMoo & Co.

“MillyMoo & Co is a small boutique business selling baking kits for children and adults to enjoy year-round,” Ms Zielke said.

Ms Zielke said the boutique handcrafted business specialised in bringing families together.

“Our main products are children’s cupcake kits with all the dry ingredients to bake at home,” she said.

“For the adults, brownie jars are super popular.”

MillyMoo & Co’s Easter release is available now.
