A Bundaberg medical clinic has been asked about claims it told patients at appointments on Monday morning that one new case of COVID-19 had been detected in Bundaberg.
It comes after a patient told the Bundaberg NewsMail “I went to go to my GP appointment and they handed me a mask and said we have just been notified of a positive case”.
It is understood Queensland Health had called the clinic this morning about a matter unrelated to a positive COVID case.
A spokesperson for the clinic told the NewsMail that after further investigation, it was deemed a misunderstanding had occurred and no such case existed.
