Bruce and Desleigh Poulsen close Baffle Dairy Fresh

Farming and business duo Bruce and Desleigh Poulsen have rocked the Bundaberg region with a sad announcement that has left lovers of their products stunned. Read the full story here:

Queensland dairy lovers have been left shocked and saddened following an announcement from Baffle Dairy Fresh that the farm has ceased production.

The company, led by owners Bruce and Desleigh Poulsen, made the announcement on social media on Tuesday morning.

“To our many valued customers, this post is one that we never ever anticipated,” their message read.

“After 21 years of producing and distributing Baffle milk to you, our valued and loyal customers, it has come time to ‘call it a day’.”

The farmers said there would be no more deliveries.

“While we have made every effort to pass the banner on to others, for various reasons, this has not eventuated,” they said.

“We have ceased production and have done our last deliveries.

“Even as late as last week we had a plan for Baffle to live on, however that plan has not materialised.”

The pair apologised to customers, but stated that “life moves on”.

“We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your unswerving support through droughts, floods, fires and the challenges of small business,” they said.

“Some of you have been with us from day one, others more recently and all we can say is a big thank you.

“We wish you all the best as we ourselves adjust to a new phase of life.”

Fans of the dairy, located at Baffle Creek between Bundaberg and Gladstone, expressed their sadness at the news.

“So sorry to hear this news and wish you great success in your future,” Annette May said.

“We absolutely loved your milk and have been missing it recently and now we know why. Thanks for letting us know.”

Robyn King said it was the only milk she purchased over the decades.

“We lived in Rosedale for 20 years and all we bought was Baffle milk. Loved it,” she said.

“Best of luck in all u may do in the future and soo sorry to hear your closing down.”
