Bargara home garage destroyed by fire after reports of explosions
Four fire crews battled a blaze that turned a peaceful Bargara neighbourhood into an emergency zone on Wednesday night after residents heard what sounded like explosions.
Emergency crews rushed to a quiet residential street in Bargara on Wednesday night after residents reported hearing sounds of explosions from the street.
Four fire crews attended a fire in Durdins Rd, with the first arriving at about 9.12pm to a garage engulfed in flames.
A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said the fire was put out shortly after 10pm and crews were able to safely hand the property back to its owners just before midnight.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said one woman was treated for smoke inhalation and was transported to Bundaberg Hospital in a stable condition.
No other injuries were reported.
