$12m in sales for $250m Burnett Heads project to rival Noosa, Gold Coast

Regional buyers are lining up to get a piece of the action in a $250 million development at Burnett Heads which marketing agents claim will rival other luxury markets like Noosa, the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast.

Work is well underway at the $250m Burnett Heads Gateway Marina complex, and local residents are snapping up apartments before they are built.

The development has been hot property since expressions of interest opened earlier this year, with more than 500 expressions of interest in the 46 apartments available.

In the five weeks since the ground was officially broken that interest has skyrocketed, with more than $12m in sales already on the books.

About 40 per cent of those sales have come from investors within the region.

Damian Brown of Property and Estates Project Marketing said local buyers realised how unique the development was.

“The market response to The Gateway Waterfront Residences has been incredible. We knew we had something special on our hands here, and we have really seen a lot of genuine interest.

“Forty per cent of sales have come from locals who recognise the scarcity and value in north facing waterfront residences, alongside those who have been enticed by all The Gateway has to offer,” he said.

The luxury development will include 318 cyclone-proof marina berths and 46 apartments along with restaurants, cafes and shops.

With artists impressions promising north-facing waterfront residences with open plan living, dual walk-in wardrobes and balconies Mr Brown said it's no wonder locals have jumped on the sale.

With a goal to keep owner-occupiers in the residences and in the berths the development is projected to rival other luxury markets such as those in Noosa, the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast.

Interested buyers can get their feet in the door with the initial buy-in pricepoint of $795,000 for first stage apartments.

The development is anticipated to be completed in early 2023 ahead of construction and installation of the first 80 marina berths.
