“All our beaches and pretty good weather all year round,” she said.

Best of both worlds

Ben Tewes said he loves how you can enjoy the coast and the country.

“Ten minutes one direction and you’re at the beach, 10 minutes in another direction and you’re buying fresh fruit and veg straight from a farm,” he said.

“It’s a pretty happy medium.”

Community spirit

Debra Read says she loves how people support each other.

“How the community comes together in times of crisis,” she said.

Not too big, not too small

Bundaberg has the conveniences of a city without the big city issues.

Kylie Lawrie said that’s her favourite thing about the region.

It’s a good place to raise a family

Jessie Oszlovits says Bundy has the whole package.

“Good Combination of beach, open land and town,” she said.

“Everything is nice and close. And the weather here is pretty great. Nice town to raise kids without being a tiny town.”

The seafood

With a range of local seafood shops selling fresh, local fish, it‘s no surprise those like Kiah R Thomas say it’s a perk of life in the region.

“It only takes 15 minutes to get the freshest seafood off one of our local trawlers, then you can do a U-Turn and drive 15 minutes the other way and be one of our local farms buying some of the best local produce you have ever tasted,” she said.

“All while sunbaking on any one of our beautiful beaches.”
