A man has tragically died following a single vehicle crash that occurred on Christmas Day two weeks ago.
Initial investigations into the incident indicate a Hyundai hatchback was travelling south on the Gore Highway, south west of Toowoomba around 7am on the 25th of December.
Its then reported the vehicle veered off the road before striking a culvert causing the vehicle to roll, with the car appear to have landed upside down.
Paramedics, police, and fire crews were in attendance to free the driver from the wreckage.
The 70-year-old Bundaberg man, the only occupant of the vehicle, was airlifted via the Toowoomba based RACQ Lifeflight Helicopter to Toowoomba Hospital in a serious but stable condition at the time.
Unfortunately, Police have today revealed the man’s condition deteriorated and sadly died from his injuries.
The Toowoomba Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
