Two people were taken to hospital, one taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and the other to Redcliffe Hospital, both in stable conditions.
Another two-vehicle crash on Waterworks Road at The Gap is causing significant delays southbound on Settlement Rd.
Queensland Police said a search was currently underway for a driver of one of the vehicles after they allegedly fled the scene of the crash just before 7am.
Paramedics treated a woman in her 50s at the scene for leg injuries.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the woman had initially been encapsulated in the car, but paramedics had managed to help the woman out of the vehicle.
Police urged drivers to find alternative routes due to the congestion on the roads.
