The tragic truth about road deaths in Australia

Traffic has now eased on the Bruce Highway following a four-car accident that happened on Monday afternoon near the Glass House Mountains.

The crash initially left just one southbound lane open to traffic at 1pm, causing long delays.

The gridlock has now eased with the residual delays down to around 13 minutes in the 20-kilonmetre southbound stretch from Beerburrum to Deception Bay .

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said one person was taken to hospital in a serious condition following the crash.

She said a second person was in a stable condition with neck pain.

That patient is yet to be taken to hospital.

Meanwhile, a motorcycle crash in Woodford is causing delays on the D’Aguilar Hwy.

Paramedics were assessing one woman in a stable condition following the motorcycle and vehicle crash on D’Aguilar Highway and Kilcoy Beerwah Road at 11.05am.
