While it may look like another weird animal internet video, this captured silent serpent showdown is actually the snake equivalent of a UFC fight.
Fighting over a nearby female, these two snakes were captured earlier this week by Steven Brown of Brisbane North Snake Catchers and Relocation after being called to a Cashmere property.

The video is among dozen’s that have been posted to social media in the past month as snake breeding season kicks off with the transition into spring.
Though the male v male sight may seem common on social media, Mr Brown told The Courier-Mail it’s actually a very rare occurrence, especially around metropolitan centres.
“I get maybe one or two calls a year to instances of males fighting like that.” Mr Brown said.
“They were originally having their fight under the deck, so it would’ve been hard to detect as they really don’t make any noise while fighting”
The video also features another rare sight, with one of the snakes sustaining a bite wound in what is normally a “submission contest”.
“When snakes normally fight, they try and squeeze the other to the point of giving up.
“When you have two snakes of the same breed, being a red belly or an eastern brown – their own type of venom doesn’t affect them,” Mr Brown added.
Mr Brown also warned would be snake observers that even though they may seem locked on each other, that you should still opt to stay away and call for assistance.
“They get in this tunnel vision state, so they’re easy to capture, but should only be done by professionals.”
“Call your local snake catcher or relocator immediately and do not approach them.”
