Brisbane house engulfed in flames, six fire trucks called
Firefighters were called to a house fire overnight where a Queenslander home was engulfed by flames.

Brisbane residents have woken to the smell of smoke after a significant fire engulfed a house overnight.
Six fire crews were called to Nelson Street, Kalinga just after 1am on Monday where a high set Queenslander house was engulfed in flames.
A QFES spokeswoman said several members of the public called emergency services about the blaze.
A senior officer also attended the scene, with firefighters containing the blaze by 1.24am and extinguishing the blaze by 2.13am.
Paramedics also attended the Nelson Street fire but nobody presented for treatment.
Overnight, a resident said something was “very much alight.”
“The smell of smoke woke me up,” another said.
One fire truck remained on scene into the morning to dampen hot spotsbut has since departed.
Police are not treating the fire as suspicious.
