Passengers at Brisbane Airport’s domestic terminal were halted as a glitch grounded flights Tuesday morning, with some describing the scenes as “chaos”.
Security screening was suspended just after 7am due to a technical fault, leaving hundreds of passengers waiting while staff worked to identify and rectify the issue.
Julie Moore took to social media just before 10am to describe the airport “in chaos”.
A Brisbane Airport spokesman said that security screening was paused at the domestic terminal for 22 minutes.
“The pause occurred between 0702-0724. Screening then resumed with lines cleared and no further impact,” the spokesman said.
“We thank all BNE passengers for their patience this morning.”
