Eleven vehicles have been reportedly involved in a major crash involving a semi-trailer north of Brisbane.

The multi-vehicle crash happened on South Pine Rd, Brendale, just after 8am, near the intersection with Johnstone Rd.

Initial reports suggest a semi-trailer truck had collided with multiple vehicles on the road before ending up in the carpark of a nearby business, where multiple other vehicles were also hit.

According to a witness, the semi-trailer “mounted the curb at the fresh produce store just up from us then continued on to plow through every vehicle in the parking lot”.

A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said crews confirmed that 11 vehicles have been involved in total.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said paramedics assessed one patient who declined transport.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said police are on scene and investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
