Bookies predict a Labor win in 2019 election

Bookies have revealed their predictions for who will win the 2019 election, including odds for every single local seat in Queensland.

BOOKIES predict the Coalition’s odds of winning the election have shortened, but Labor is still the outright favourite. According to Ladbrokes, the Coalition was $5 to win the election on Thursday, but are currently at $3.50.

Labor started at $1.16, but is still an outright favourite at $1.18.

Pauline Hanson’s One Nation is at $251, while the Greens are at $301 along with the Australian Conservatives.

Hundreds of people have bet on the outcome of the election since it was called at 8am on Thursday.

In Queensland, several LNP-held seats are tipped to flip to Labor, including Dickson, which is held by Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton on a thin margin of 1.6 per cent.

The bookies are also predicting Petrie MP Luke Howarth, Capricornia MP Michelle Landry and Forde MP Bert van Manen will be beaten by their Labor rivals.

Labor MP Cathy O’Toole, who holds the ultra-marginal seat of Herbert by just 37 votes, is the favourite to win the seat with odds of $1.25.
