Police are investigating after a body was found on a Gold Coast beach this afternoon, believed to be that of a diver missing since last night.

Police are investigating after a body was found at a Gold Coast beach this afternoon.
Water police were called to assist in the search for the missing swimmer at midday.
It is understood the person was diving last night when they went missing.
Police confirmed a body was found near Main Beach early this afternoon.
