Bizarre sign amuses delayed Bruce Highway motorists
Frustrated motorists in Moreton Bay left stuck in traffic queues after exiting the Bruce Highway on Thursday were at least kept amused by the emergency warning message that greeted them. Here’s why.

If your partner was suspiciously missing for a few hours yesterday there’s a good chance they may have been part of a long queue of drivers in Griffin.
There’s very few people that find pleasure in a growing line due to road work. Motorists exiting the Bruce Highway on the Dohles Road Rocks exit yesterday were given a delightful warning to “expect head” as they approached Henry Road.
While the sign was an amusing surprise to many queuing motorists, we can confirm the sign was not accurate and nothing scandalous was happening beyond the unexpected removal of a powerline.
“Queue ahead” and “Expect delays” are common signs warning motorists to slow down due to road maintenance or emergency assistance.
The delay was due to a fallen powerline on the corner of Dohles Rocks Road and Henry Road, with the issue resolved by the end of the night.
