Friends and family of a young father have been left devastated after he was tragically killed in a motorbike crash in Ipswich earlier this month.
Brendyn Christ died when the motorbike he was riding was travelling on Pine Mountain Road when it left the road around 4.15am on August 11.
The 32-year-old from Leichhardt died at the scene.
Mr Christ leaves behind two young children from a previous relationship with Amanda McPhail, who described her former partner she was with for 10 years and knew for two decades as her “best friend”.
“Brendyn was so many things to so many people, but to us, he was family,” she said.
“He loved his children more than anything. He was an amazing father and the best co-parent anyone could ask for.
“We were a team.
“Words can’t describe the emptiness we feel without him here.”
Tributes also flooded social media for Mr Christ, who was just days away from celebrating his 33rd birthday on August 15 before he died.
His brother, Ashley Christ, posted that his life had been “turned upside down”.
“I should be celebrating your birthday yet my heart is breaking as you are not here with us anymore,” he posted on his brother’s birthday.
“I will cherish every moment, the good and bad to the moment I get to stand by your side once more.
“I expect to have a good catch up about all the grief you, grandma and aunty Helen are causing up there. You are missed so much.”
Another of his friends commented, saying the memories between him and Mr Christ would last forever.
“Going to miss you my bro,” he posted.
“You made working away a blast in its own way for years.
“It will be difficult not having you knocking on my motel door with a bottle and (two) glasses.”
Police are preparing a report for the coroner after investigating the crash.
