However, speaking to The Courier-Mail, Apollo said there had been a silver lining to his injury.

“It probably came at an opportune time, because I had just finished shooting a bunch of videos and then I need to spend time editing them and promoting them and sending them out so it hasn’t been too bad,” he said.

While counting down the days til he can get back in the saddle, Apollo said he felt strangely invigorated by his forced abstinence.

“It’s been an interesting time, but it’s given me a bit of a reset,” he said.

“I’m sleeping better, I’m stronger in the gym, I’m more focused and I find I’m getting more attention from women.

“I feel like in a way it’s given me a superpower.”

He said he may even decide to incorporate a period of abstinence into his regime in the future, like a sexual detox.

“The temptation is to do it regularly as a reset,” he said.

However, for now he is looking forward to getting back on the horse, so to speak.

“I’m living the dream,” he said.
