Boat carrying eight sinks off Central Queensland
Eight people, including children, have been rescued from a sinking boat off the Central Queensland coast, north of Rockhampton.

All eight people on board a boat that sank off Central Queensland have been rescued following an operation involving multiple emergency crews.
The vessel is in the Stanage Bay area and are approximately 60 nautical miles east of Rockhampton.
The boat was reported to be taking on water, prompting police to engage the RACQ Central Queensland rescue team and then a bulk carrier.
The occupants of the boat are believed to be four adults and four children on board.
